Why have a Home Inspection? It is important to have a professional and complete inspection of the property by a qualified inspector. A Homespecs report will identify material defects in the systems, structures, and components of the building as they exist at the time of inspection. The specific systems, structures and components of a building to be examined are listed in the CREIA Standards of Practice. The majority of items found during the inspection can be repaired or replaced sometimes at no cost to the buyer. This can often result in a savings greater than the cost of the inspection. We encourage the buyer to be present at the inspection so that any observations can be identified in person. This also enables the buyer to become more familiar with the property and its systems.
